Creative alliance arranged us apprentices to visit Friction arts where we were introduced the directors of Friction. They introduced us to what they are all about and projects that’s they done and got involved with. They also showed us a presentation of their most recent project that took place in South Africa. I was intrigued by their approach to arts and working with people from various communities and backgrounds.
My attention was actively engaged throughout the whole time I was there but I was particularly taken by their wisdom about working on community arts projects.
I enjoyed the warm up exercise that we did while we were there, it allowed me to see how people view each and how I see myself. Overall visiting friction was a great new experience and something that contributed to how I want to work within creative industry.
During the visit there was an opportunity to have a chat about the vision of their company. At the time I thought it would be interesting environment to work in.
After few days it turned out I got a job placement there.
They have much wisdom and knowledge to offer and I hope to offer my full effort in return working to maximum potential.
