Being a part of the Creative Alliance Creative Apprentice in community arts is a fantastic opportunity to learn by working alongside experienced staff to gain job specific skills and to be part of a friendly professional environment also learning about culture of the organisation. I have been involving myself in all aspects of the organisation, assisting in administration work, working on future projects and planning up and coming networking events.
‘I believe that being keen and trusting in yourself and the company that you have been given a chance to work with is a key to success. It can’t get better then getting paid by training in a job you love.’
Part of my role as the apprentice is to understand and compliment the ethics in the organisation, also it’s a chance to develop myself as an individual in terms of understanding the sector that I’m working in as well as keeping in touch with creative companies and creative professionals.
